Built for Schools.
Obsessed with Outcomes.
We are a specialist consultancy working exclusively with educational settings — combining deep SEND expertise with the practical knowledge of how schools actually work.
SEND Consultants UK was founded by experienced education professionals who have worked at the heart of special educational needs provision in English schools. With backgrounds as a classroom teacher, SENCO, Deputy Head and Head of School our team brings firsthand understanding of the pressures, complexities, and responsibilities that schools face every day when supporting pupils with SEND.
We know what it feels like to sit across the table from a parent in crisis, to navigate a Local Authority decision you disagree with, and to lead a school's SEND provision without always having the legal clarity you need to act with confidence.
That is why we built SEND Consultants UK differently. We combine deep classroom experience with specialist knowledge of SEND legislation, the SEND Code of Practice, and the duties placed on schools under the Children & Families Act 2014 and the Equality Act 2010. We do not offer generic advice — we offer practical, legally grounded guidance that helps schools protect their pupils, their staff, and themselves.
We work with mainstream primary and secondary schools and academy trusts across England, providing the kind of clear, reliable support that turns confusion into confidence.
Where we deliver the greatest impact
EHCP Compliance
We help schools understand and meet their legal duties under the SEND Code of Practice — from quality assurance of EHCPs to preparing for local authority reviews and annual reviews.
Ofsted Readiness
Inspection-ready SEND provision. We work with leadership teams to evidence inclusive practice, close provision gaps, and ensure SEND documentation withstands scrutiny.
Whole-School Training
From half-day awareness sessions to year-long CPD programmes, our training equips every member of staff — not just the SENCO — with the knowledge to support SEND learners.
Inclusive Practice
Strategic support to embed inclusion at every level: curriculum design, teaching and learning, pastoral systems, governor accountability, and strategic planning.
The principles behind every engagement
Evidence-Led
Grounded in current legislation, research, and real experience of what actually works in schools — not theory produced at a distance from the classroom.
School-Centred
Every school is different. We listen before we advise, and every engagement is tailored to your context, capacity, culture, and goals.
Practically Focused
Clear, actionable recommendations — not lengthy reports that gather dust. Our work translates directly into improved practice and measurable outcomes.
Long-Term Partnership
We measure success by lasting change. We stay alongside schools as they develop, not just for a single training day then disappear.
